This place is so lovely. Loved the quiet atmosphere of the piazza. The service was TOP, with the fantastic server explaining everything wonderfully (and super dog friendly too!). The food and wine were divine. Price OK too. We had a fantastic evening here and would recommend this to anyone who enjoys great meat and Italian flair. Perfect!!!!
The food was really great (tartar and carpacio), we had a nice time. Piazza Sant'agostino is one of the more beautiful and quiet places of S.Gimignano. Due to the language barrier (Dutch - Italian) we had some difficulties ordering the food. Fortunately, the staff was very kind and solution oriented. This restaurant is absolutely worth a visit.
Super super rude for absolutely no reason. I’ve never been treated in such disrespectful manner by someone who works in hospitality. Those young „boys“ should get some education how to treat customers- disgrace
The food is underwhelming to say the least. Both the tartare and the carpaccio were not seasoned at all and the beef was lacking any kind of flavor (just raw meat). Carpaccio was also cut too thick which made it quite difficult to cut and chew. The service is unattentive and the waiting time was quite long even for the simple things - it took them about 20 minutes to serve wine. skip it if you can.
Food was ok, as mentioned previously the tartare/carpaccio is not seasoned so you will have to do it yourself... Would be ok if you have salt and pepper but we didn't (took 10 min to bring). Seems they don't really care about you if you don't speak italian unfortunately. You should pass.
The service is carried out by young professional guys, something that you don’t see easily in other places. The food is just amazing and the atmosphere, sitting in this old Italian square, is priceless. Thanks Alex and Nedra for their patience and their help.
I would give this place zero stars if I could! I came here to have a cocktail and maybe a coffee in the afternoon. Rather than asking me if he could get me a table, the water shoved me and told me to get out of his way! Not sure what his problem was, but if he doesn’t like his job he should find a new one.
Very tasty food, especially the tartare and carpaccio. Also great service!
